Cultural Pass to Adventure

Daily cultural passes for the following institutions are available at Cedar Mill & Bethany libraries for a 1-day checkout:

• Portland Children’s Museum
• The Japanese Garden
• The Chinese Classical Garden
• The Portland Art Museum
• Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals
• A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village
• Pittock Mansion
• Washington County Museum

The service is designed to develop new audiences for some of our area’s most popular attractions. There are a number of unique guidelines for use of these passes:

• Each pass may only be used once a year per family.
• Each attraction also has specific rules about how many people may be admitted with the pass.
• Reservations must be made in person at the library.
• Passes can only be picked up when the library is open and must be returned by midnight.
• Late fees are $10 per day.
• If a pass is lost, users are responsible for the actual replacement cost of the pass which ranges from $35 to $300.

Portland Art Museum

Chinese Classical Garden

The membership allows two adults and two children under the age of 18 to visit the garden. Call 503-228-8131 for hours and further information or visit online at http://www.portlandchinesegarden.org/. 

The Japanese Garden

The membership admits one adult and two children, or two adults and one child into the museum. Call 503-223-6500 for hours or check out the website at http://www.japanesegarden.com/. Regular hours are Oct 1- March 31, Mondays, 12-4, Tuesday to Sunday 10-4, April 1-Sept 30, Mondays 12-7, Tuesday to Sunday 10-7.

Portland Children’s Museum

Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals

The membership provides access to the museum for 2 adults and up to 6 children or grandchildren under 21 years of age in the same household. For museum hours, location and questions please call 503-647-2418 or visit the website at www.ricenwmuseum.org.

 A.C. Gilbert’s Discovery Village

The membership admits 5 guests (age 1 and up) into the Discovery Village. Call 503-371-3631 for hours or check out the website at www.acgilbert.org

Pittock Mansion
