Computer Services Available at the Library
CMCL offers Internet access on dedicated workstations as well as via WiFi. In addition to the electronic resources and the library catalog provided by WCCLS, Cedar Mill Community Library offers access to additional resources and tools for research and education.
All computers are equipped with CDROM drives (read-only), as well as audio and USB ports.
On the Internet Stations
Patrons can use up to one hour per day per patron account for open Internet access using our workstations. Patrons must provide their own audio headsets.
- Internet Explorer - web browser
- Microsoft Word 2003 - view, edit and create Word documents
- IrfanView - image viewer and editor
- Microsoft Office 2007 Viewers - allows viewing of all MS Office 2007 formatted files (.docx, etc.)
On the Application Resource Stations (at CMCL only)
We provide access to WCCLS and Cedar Mill online resources (journals, newspapers, research tools) and access to major government websites for job research, e-government access and more.
Do you need to do job searches on iMatchSkills, write a paper, or work on genealogy using Ancestry or Heritage Quest? Ask a librarian for additional time access using these workstations. To see what's available, check the Online Resources research page (some resources require library card or are only available from inside the library.)
We also offer access to the full Microsoft Office suite including:
- Microsoft Office 2003 (including Access, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Provides a powerful set of tools for organizing, accessing, formatting, designing, publishing, and sharing information.
- Microsoft Office 2007 File Viewers
- Open, print, and edit documents from MS Office 2007 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) with file extension like .docx

Printing
Printing is 10 cents a page. You may deposit up to $10 toward your account for printing costs. Printing monies are separate from any fees or fines due the library. Stop at the service desk for assistance.
WiFi Services
- WiFi access is free and has no time limits.
- Look for access point "library_wifi", and use your web browser to log in with your library card and password.
- For patrons without library cards, day passes are available at the service desk.
- No printing available for patrons using WiFi access.
