ILL Changes
Beginning October 1, 2009, at the Cedar Mill and Bethany Libraries patron accounts are limited to 10 “active” ILL requests.
- Patrons must monitor their account and check the status and number of their own requests
- Library staff will not notify patron if they have exceeded the maximum limit
- Library staff will no longer notify patron if a request has been cancelled
- Requests made for items published within the last two months will not be ordered. You may submit a Purchase Suggestion instead.

Popular Service!
***Interlibrary Loan is a service that allows Cedar Mill and Bethany patrons to obtain materials that are not available through Washington County libraries. We borrow from libraries all over the United States.
Interlibrary loan has become increasingly popular over the last year. Requests have grown by more than 53%! In an effort to manage this change in volume and continue to provide this service, the library is limiting the number of requests that can be submitted.
The library will not retain requests above and beyond the 10 “active” limit. Requests can take up to one week to appear on your account, so please check for active requests and keep a count of submitted requests before ordering.
Questions? Please ask a librarian.
