Plant Sale Variety Info

Our goal this year is to raise $4,000 to help support our community library. This money contributes to making a difference between having an adequate library and having a great library. Public funding does not support all the services our library provides to our growing community. Cedar Mill Community Library is the largest non-profit library west of the Mississippi and the 9th highest circulation library in Oregon. We circulate over 1.5 million items annually. The Library is a reflection of our community pride for providing a safe gathering place for our community in support of lifelong learning. The Library is an investment in the quality of our community. Blooms for Books is your opportunity to “get and give”.

Dedicated volunteers and organizations are behind this effort. Plants sources are all local. Plant suppliers are New Leaf Greenhouse in Cornelius, http://www.newleafgreenhouse.com/fundraiserspring.htm Pumpkin Ridge Gardens in North Plains www.pumpkinridgegardens.com and library volunteer and gardener, Cori Bacher. Cori is donating 100% of her proceeds to the Library and will also be on hand to answer your gardening questions.

Besides offering free henna and face painting, a portion of any art and craft sales from the Village Gallery of Arts on May 17th will be donated to the Library.

Second Edition is accepting gardening-related items for re-sale and will be offering very attractive prices for garden-related items. A big thank you to all!

If you would like to contribute plants or help, please email Gloria Lee, Board Member and sale coordinator at glee@portlandchinesegardens.org or call Dawn at 503-644-0043 x 121.
