After an amazing day of moving and final network installation and tweaking, the expanded Bethany Branch opens to the public at 10 am today.  Kudos to Roxanne Wilcox and the Bethany crew of staff and volunteers who moved the entire library of 30,000 items, shelves, computers, and furniture in about 4 hours yesterday. Phone service and Internet may be a bit spotty today but materials flow will continue.
 
The new library is directly across the street from the old library and at 4,600 square feet is 2 and 1/2 times larger than the old library that was occupied in July 2007.
 
A big shout out goes to WCCLS who provides the infrastructure and support to make this type of library service expansion possible.
 
We'll be having a 2nd birthday celebration next month on July 18th after the dust settles.
