Membership

The library is part of Washington County Cooperative Library Services which distributes county funds to 14 local libraries. Although library cards are free to everyone, the library relies on donations from supporters to provide library services not completely covered by the county funding.

Benefits of Membership

Those who make annual monetary contributions to the library become members of the Cedar Mill Community Library Association. Members are eligible to serve on the board of directors and to participate in library governance. All members receive the library newsletter and notice of special events. Members are also recognized in the library newsletter. Members who give cumulative annual donations of $250 or more are invited to recognition events and named on donor board.

The greatest benefit is the satisfaction that comes from knowing you are helping your community library!

How will my gift be used?

Your gift will be used to improve library services, including:

• More books and media for both Cedar Mill and Bethany.
• Early childhood literacy services to prepare the next generation of readers.

Supporting Donor Club

We invite you to join the Library’s Supporting Donor Club. This program is an easy, secure way for you to give steady support to the library via your credit card.
• More of your donation goes to support library operations: books and media, storytimes, helpful librarians to answer your questions, computer classes for seniors...
• Direct donations can be made monthly or quarterly (will be withdrawn on the 15th of the month).
• Donations will appear on your credit card statement as they are credited and you can cancel at any time. 
• You will receive a year-end statement and, of course, your donations are tax deductible to the full extent provided by law.
