Book Sale

A small, dedicated team of volunteers sort through donated books and library discards to give books a second chance. We sell gently used books in both libraries every day.

Some facts and figures about Book Sales at CMCL:

• During the last fiscal year 9,511 donated books and AV items were added to the collection which saved the library $151,293. Books that don't make it into the collection are either sold in the libraries, sold to Powell's or on Amazon. The library earned $32,332 last year from these sales which helped the library purchase more items for our users.
• The libraries accepts good quality donations during library open hours.
• Before dropping by with your donation, please take a moment to review our donation guidelines. Sadly, one-third of donations turns out to be unusable and must be discarded because of damage, highlighting or lack of relevance. The guidelines are simple and will save you a trip and help our great volunteers.
