Finances

The library receives operating funding through a contract with WCCLS. Funds are distributed based on a formula that counts library use and expenditures for materials. Unlike other libraries in our county, Cedar Mill receives no city tax support. Private fund raising and Second Edition Resale provide the balance of funding needed for operating, capital and space needs.

An annual operating budget is approved by the board of directors prior to the July start of the fiscal year.

The library is audited every year and copies of its 990 may be found on the web or requested through the business office.
